half a year. seriously. time is flying.

I am so in love with this little guy, I can’t get enough of his smiles and uncontrollable laughter. We have always put the boys in their cribs to sleep starting at 4 weeks, which I wouldn’t want it any other way, Danny and I like (okay LOVE) our alone time, not to mention saving ourselves the hardship of trying to get them out of our bed sometime before they have tripled in size. But as of late, I find myself missing them in the middle of the night when I wake up, I am sure it’s just hormones lol, because I know just one night in our bed with the boys I would never do it again.

Maddox is growing so fast. I feel like the newborn stage was just yesterday. Maddox is rolling all over the place making it a tad bit harder leaving him anywhere. Loves his bouncer. Grabs anything and everything and won’t let go. LOVES his brother, is constantly moving his head around the room listening and looking for Luke. Is sitting up with support. Can’t eat any solids just vomits for hours after eating anything. He has one tooth popped through on the bottom. He’s wearing 9 months clothes.

I was looking at Maddox’s stats and I decided to compare them to Luke at this age:

At six months:

LUKE: 22.6 pounds (100% percentile) 30.5 inches (100%percentile)Wearing 24 months size clothes

MADDOX: 18.10 pounds ( 67%percentile) 28.2 inches (95%percentile) Wearing 9 months clothes

Love you Mr. Maddox

My sweet baby is already 2 years old. I can still remember taking you home from the hospital like it was yesterday. Your daddy and I were so excited yet so nervous to be responsible for this little person. You have brought joy beyond measure to our lives. You are full of spirit, character, energy, and independence. You smile with your eyes and make anyone smile ear to ear just watching you get excited about what your doing. You are quite the independent little man, you watch once and then you feel more than capable of taking it on all by yourself. You are in a big boy bed now, and I have to say after 2 weeks of bed training you’ve got it down..

You love your family. You are a little daddy crazy at the moment I must admit. Everything is dada, pictures of daddy on the wall are your favorite to look at when he’s gone to work.. oh geeze lol… It’s actually the cutest thing seeing Danny’s face when he comes home and gives Lukey a hug.. PRICELESS… Moments like that make parenthood feel incredible…

Your not talking sentences yet, but your repeating everything we say. Fun Fun!!! Some things you are loving right now are:                       Animals, tools, trains, elmo, cars, Cars the movie, ipad, laying in your brothers crib with him, throwing everything, climbing, vacuuming, playing in the garage, puzzles, blocks, dogs, blueberries

We love you sooo much Lukey.. We feel so blessed to have you as our son. Can’t wait to see what the next year holds for you.

5 1/2 months Mr. Maddox.

You are weighing in at 17 pounds 7 ounces

You are so smiley it’s contagious.. There isn’t anything that won’t make you laugh. You are becoming not such a great night time sleeper over here little man. Mommy is still getting up 2-3 times a night. You are not a fan of the bottle, making mommy’s life a tad bit Maddox consumed 24/7, and making that pumped milk in the freezer look like a distant dream. You love your race car entertainment center and so does mommy. You love taking your naps on my bed. Your grabbing and playing with your toys, so cute!!

You are the sweetest, most smiley, and chill baby, I just love you infinity little man..

4 months

Time is flying by.. Maddox is now 4 1/2 months.. He is getting out of that little baby stage and I am not liking it.:) Little Maddox is quite the happy baby, everything can make this kid laugh.

He is weighing in at 16 pounds 8 oz (74th percentile) and is 26.5 inches tall (97th percentile)

Maddox loves to dance around in my arms to music, he laughs hysterically. He is rolling over both ways. Is sleeping from 7-5, then goes back to sleep until 7 (Can’t complain) Still not a big fan of taking a bottle. Is starting to get sad when you leave the room. Can put his entire fist in his mouth. Is starting to grab for everything, including hair.. No fun! Loving his play gym and can now reach for his toys.

I am loving this stage, though I do miss my tiny baby. He is so alert and such a fun loving guy!! We love you Maddox James

No Nap Sundays

November 16th, 2012 by Ashley

1pm church has not been our friend this year and CANNOT wait until next year with 9 am church. Luke’s nap time falls right at the start of church so Sunday is usually full of cranky and whinny Luke. As we were walking into church Danny and I were laughing and saying we wish we had one of those kids that just fall asleep anywhere. Luke just doesn’t want to miss a thing. Well crazy crazy but what do you know that same Sunday Lukey crashed on daddy’s shoulder and slept for the duration of sacrament and on through Sunday school… Woot woot…. Nope I didn’t attend Sunday school but whose house was so much more peaceful that Sunday nigh…This one.. YAY!!! I had to take a picture of course to ave proof because I am having a feeling this will never happen again…
