The Best Two Years

Tuesday, August 24th, 2010

This last weekend on the 22nd Danny and I had our 2 year wedding anniversary… I can’t believe it’s already been two years…. I feel so blessed to have the most amazing and loving husband… We have grown so much since being together and can’t wait to start our family addition with our son this Christmas….

Since our Anniversary was on Sunday we got to celebrate the entire weekend. We really just wanted to have a relaxing weekend and just spend time with each other so we decided not to go anywhere since traveling isn’t the funnest thing right now for me. Danny surprised me by taking me to one of my favorite restaurants Marcelos and then after was the big surprise.. We headed back to the house and when I walked in our room he had a massage table with all of these lotions and oils…. YAY I was so excited… Since being pregnant I am always so uncomfortable, so him being the sweetest guy ever bought a table so I can have massages ALL the time… It was the best gift and a total surprise… I love having a husband that is creative and does things without me having to lay those oh so obvious hints of what I want… He just knows me too well… Love him!!!

On Saturday we went to Color Me Mine. We really had a great time, it’s something that we never have done before, but are happy we did. Danny made a big mug and I made a ladle holder. We always try and either buy something or make something on our anniversary so we can look back and remember what we did to celebrate. We have decided we want to stretch ourselves this next year and try new things. It’s hard finding new things to do for entertainment around here so we decided that we will have to be creative, though when we have a baby, we will definitely be doing things we have never done before.. CAN’T WAIT :)  I can’t wait to see what this next year has in store for us…

Here are a few pics of the weekend….

Night out with friends

Tuesday, August 17th, 2010

Our friend Jen was thrown, by her awesome husband, a surprise birthday outing with a group of their friends. He told her just be ready and wear something fancy hehe… So we arrived to pick her up in a limo, where he told her we all would be going to Sacramento for dinner and to attend the play Oklahoma… We all had a blast.. I love this group of people their so down to earth and always a good time.  Not that we didn’t feel like celebrities already but we had a camera crew of a couple girls follow us around and take our pictures hehe. We were all pretty spoiled.. But if you know Jen, you would know she is the greatest girl and deserves the world (she’s preggo as well and were only 2 days apart:)).. Here are a couple pics of our fabulous night!!

It’s a BOY!!!

Thursday, July 22nd, 2010

its a boy feet

YAY!!! It’s a boy. I knew it was a boy all along :) I had all the common symptoms of having a boy, bigger than normal LOL, don’t crave too many sweets, never got sick at all, and his heartbeat was lower than average… We’re so EXCITED!!!

Danny couldn’t be more thrilled to have a little mini him. I hope he looks just like him..

Yesterday we got to see our little boy at the Peek-A-Baby in Modesto with 3-D 4-D imaging… It was amazing. He was super active and was not holding back. I love him so much already and can’t wait to hold him. I frequently feel him kick and punch me throughout the day, it couldn’t be more of a bonding feeling. I love it!!

Months of catch up!!!

Monday, July 12th, 2010

Hi there family and friends.. wow I can’t believe how long it’s been since I last blogged. Since it’s been 7 months haha I’ll use  a lot of pictures to catch you up rather than talk about everything that has happened…

First BIG news that has happened in our lives is that we are now Home Owners. Danny and I bought a awesome house in Oakdale where we are loving the extra space. Decorating seems impossible with so much space, but I am not complaining :)

I finally graduated in May from Sac State with a degree in Nutrition… I am so happy to be done and finally free from commuting everyday. I am happy that I did something that I truly love and can see myself doing for the rest of my life.

I am so grateful for supportive family and friends.. Love you ALL!!!

We are 16 weeks and I am loving being pregnant. I am so blessed to not have been sick at all during the first trimester. I just hope future one’s are as good as this one. Danny is so excited, he’s already reading books and learning all he can. I couldn’t ask for a more supportive and loving husband. We find out in a week in a half what were having and I am so anxious to know. We both feel like it’s a boy, but can’t wait to find out so I can start shopping :)

Ice Skating Union Square

Thursday, December 17th, 2009

My friend Ashley and I have been begging our men to take us ice skating forever.. so we finally followed through with it and made a night of it. The four of us caught bart in Pleasanton and headed to the Big City for some yummy dinner at Bucco di Pepo and then after dinner we made it to Union Square to ice skate. It was a blast. I was pretty impressed at how well Danny and I did, we didn’t fall even once. We are so grateful to have Ashley and Vince as such great friends, they are the greatest, can’t wait for their wedding :)

Park City Thanksgiving

Thursday, December 17th, 2009

So I am the worst blogger lately, but with s school over for a month I promise to be on top of it. So to catch you up… Danny and I flew to Park City Utah, where we met up with his family. It was absolutely fantastic. HIs parents rented a BOMB three story cabin which was plenty fun. We ate more than anyone should eat in a whole month. LOL We seriously ate like ALL day, YUMMY. Why can’t we have Thanksgiving more than once a year? Well maybe that’s a good thing :) We were lucky to  stay for 5 days, we shopped, played spoons, games, walked the town, and then to top it off we all went to the spa in Park City and got massages. We were preety spoiled but loving every minute of it.  I Love my family, we all have such a great time getting together, I wish we were closer!   Love you all!!!

Night of Pumpkin Carving

Tuesday, October 27th, 2009

This last weekend we transformed our kitchen table into a pumpkin carving mess :) Our dearest friends Ashley and Vince came over for a yummy dinner and three hours of pumpkin carving. I think we were all pretty creative and really into it. We only bought one carving kit so we all had to share one carver haha.. that took forever… The pumpkins turned out so cute though. Halloween isn’t Halloween without pumpkin carving.

Our Gettaway Weekend

Monday, August 24th, 2009

Danny and I celebrated our 1 year Anniversary this weekend in beautiful Monterrey and Santa Cruz. We woke up on Saturday morning and headed to Monterrey. We walked the Fisherman’s Wharf and had some delicious Bread Bowl Chowders.. We loved it at the time, but shortly after we both got pretty sick. Went through quick though lol. Wouldn’t recommend that again. We were really excited for our next adventure to the Monterrey Bay Aquarium. We both hadn’t been since we were younger, so we were surprised at how big it was from what we remembered. We loved it!! The weather was perfect, a little overcast, but a nice change from the heat back home. That night we went to the BEST restaurant called the Shadowbrook. It not only had the best food and peach pie dessert I have ever had in my life, but it was in such a romantic and intimate setting. A must go to again.

Here we are going into the Shadowbrook restaurant..

We stayed at the West Cliff Inn, the cutest bed and breakfast, overlooking the beach. It was so nice, we really enjoyed our room and the super spa sized bath tub :) Loved it. The breakfast was very yummy. They had a variety of goodness, quiche, oatmeal, fruits, toasts, eggs, potatoes, all kinds of stuff. I could do that more often. After breakfast I told Danny I only had one desire and that was to ride the Giant Dipper lol.. Been awhile not much has changed, still looks like it could be anyones last ride! It really was a perfect little weekend gettaway!!
