July 19, 2012- born 4:24 am

8 pounds 3 ounces

21 inches

Our little guy finally made it.. Here is his birth story that I have been meaning to post for the last three weeks.

July 19, 2012 (Thursday) is your birthday little Maddox. One day after your due date. Labor started the day before in the afternoon of the 18th. I went to the doctor on the 17th Tuesday and I was still dilated to a 3-4, which I had been for the last 3 weeks. The next day during the afternoon I started to have some pretty strong contractions. I knew that they were a little stronger than the Braxtion Hicks I was feeling before because of the lower back pain I was feeling during the contractions. I went through the day and I started to time them just to see if they were coming regular and if they were getting stronger. By the time Danny came home from work, and my mom came down to visit, the contractions were getting much more intense than earlier, but nothing I couldn’t handle yet I thought. It was 9pm and Danny and I decided to just drive to the hospital to get checked out since my contractions were coming every 6 minutes or so. We got to the hospital around 10pm and there we had to go through the whole check in process and then I finally got checked around 10:45 where I was now at 5cm, so I had progressed from the day before, and by now my contractions were really intense. I think the little guy knew I was at the hospital so he wanted to come out. I got put into a room about midnight. By know I was having the worse back labor I didn’t know was possible. I was wanting to scream. Poor Danny was so tired and was trying to help me but nothing could help this pain. I had to wait before I could receive an epidural to see what my platelet count was at due to my levels falling during the pregnancy. They were telling me that they wouldn’t give me a epidural if my count was less than 100. Well my count was at 86. AWHH I was freaking out I just knew I had to have one with this back pain. So thankfully my nurse begged the anesthesiologist, which agreed to give me one. I finally received it around 3:45am. I was also on antibiotics again this time with being strep B positive. They checked me after the epidural and I was at a 9 1/2.. WHAT!! Of course I was in such pain.. It went so fast. The only problem was my epidural was given to me so late and so close to being a 10, my pain only went down slightly.. Danny called my mom and his mom and said you guys better hurry because were going to have this baby any minuteā€¦ My midwife came in around 4am, broke my water and I pushed for 15 minutes and my little Maddox was born.. It was kinda nice having my epidural only work half this time, I was better able to control the pushing and go faster. Both moms made it in time and again we were blessed with another miracle baby boy. I am so in love with this little guy and can’t thank my Heavenly Father enough for giving him to me. Maddox James Weber was born 4:24am weighing 8 lbs 3 oz and 21 inches.

Luke has been such a great big brother. He loves Maddox so much, of course his way of showing it is sometimes a little to aggressive, so close eyes are always having to be on him. Danny is hands down the best dad ever to these little guys. He helps me with all the housework that seems impossible at times, changes dirty diapers, and is always willing to take Luke somewhere so I can have some peace. I can’t believe we are a family of 4 and how much we have grown and evolved as a couple and family in the past four years. Looking back I wouldn’t change one single thing.. Through endless blowouts, sleep insomnia, screaming tantrums, cuts and bruises, teething, throwing food I realize I would rather have all these things again and again than not have the opportunity to be a parent to these two boys!! I love them forever!!

Love them!!!
