So Thankful

Saturday, November 27th, 2010

This Thanksgiving was pretty new and exciting for Danny and I this year.. Since moving into our new house earlier this year we had the chance to host our very first holiday party and dinner. It was my families year to have Thanksgiving, we switch off every year between Danny’s family and mine. We had my parents, brother, and both grandparents here this year. I feel so blessed to have such a wonderful family. I was a little nervous having everyone at my place this year with being so pregnant, but everyone was extremely helpful. The food was amazing!!! We ate and cooked way to much as we always do..I have never seen our fridge so packed.. My favorite part is not having to cook for the next week after Thanksgiving!!! MMMmmm leftovers!!!!

Baby is doing great!!! I can’t believe I keep getting bigger and bigger and it doesn’t help my appetite has seemed to increase again. Danny and I go back and forth whether we want Luke to come before or after Christmas, ask me right now and I would say next week is looking great lol… I don’t want to stretch anymore and it’s not like I am getting great sleep. I have been having the weirdest dreams lately, dreams that entail me of screaming, yelling and talking in my sleep.. Poor Danny I am always waking him up and then of course wanting to tell him about the dream I just had… Between that and getting up with a full bladder every hour or two I can’t believe Danny s still sleeping in the same room as me haha.. We just know its natures way of preparing us for the up all nights with Luke..

I am Thankful for my Lord and Savior, my husband, for my future little son Luke, family, friends, and good health. I have so many things in my life to be thankful for and I truly want to never take anything in life for granted. I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving!!

4 Weeks Left

Wednesday, November 24th, 2010

Well I am almost there.. Getting more and more excited everyday. Have to admit it makes me nervous not knowing exactly when this guy will make his grand appearance but hospital bags are packed and ready so we don’t have any unplanned surprises. I am feeling great. I thought I might have had  gallstones a little while ago, due to the most excruciating pain occurring in my upper abdomen,  but it turns out I don’t and since then I have been taking a prescription for acid reflux and I have been pain free. I am seeing the doctor every week now which is kinda exciting getting a update more frequently. It’s amazing how much more the doctors are sensitive and accommodating when your farther along, its almost like I felt I wasn’t really pregnant or wasn’t a priority because I wasn’t about to pop earlier in pregnancy. My appetite has gone up and down lately. A couple weeks ago I was never too hungry, but now that the baby has dropped and I have more room in there, I want to eat more, perfect timing for Thanksgiving, well maybe not!! 🙂

More good news are baby  furniture has finally come in!!! only a month or so late.. They can’t deliver it until Thursday but at least I know exactly what day it will be here.. I’ ll feel a little more settled and ready when I get all the room set up. Just pray he stays in there for at least 3 more weeks. He is active as ever which is not very comfortable anymore. I thought they were supposed to slow down in movement when they had no room in there. Not the case with this one.. I have gained now a total of about 28 pounds…  It’s the weirdest and not most unpleasant feeling having my stomach feel like its being stretched farther and farther everyday. It can slow down any day now, but I know it’s only going to get worse!!! I got some maternity pictures done by a friend here in Oakdale last week by  Melissa McKinley.. She is GREAT!!! I just love the pictures, so glad I chose to do some… Pictures to come soon!!!

Oh and I also did a minor change to my hair LOL!!! Can you tell haha …. Haven’t been a brunette in a couple years so I decided I needed a change. Danny might need some time getting used to, I once again decided not to tell him and just come home with it darker, I know I never would go through with it if I talked it through with him.. But he likes it, well he better LOL…

Hope everyone has a fantastic Thanksgiving!! Full of FOOD, FAMILY, and FRIENDS!!!

Halloween

halloween20101

Halloween was a little different this year since I had to work all weekend from 9am -9pm both Saturday and Sunday. But since my job is so low key and I work for his parents we just hung out at his parents and passed out candy to the trick or treaters. The kids were so cute, I can’t wait for next year to dress up our little man. We decided even though we weren’t going out this year we still wanted to dress up. It’s not often your eight months pregnant during Halloween and who knows if our future kiddos will come around this time of year again. We just had to emphasize the belly bump so I put on a orange shirt threw a black shirt over, cut a hole around the belly and had Danny draw a basketball on the bump..Our little guy was a basketball for his first Halloween.. well kinda 🙂  I have to admit it looks pretty awesome for a  last minute costume…Danny had a jersey from junior high basketball, yes it was tight but it still fit, ya i wouldn’t dare try on clothes I wore in junior high.. I don’t think Danny got the memo about gaining weight with me during this pregnancy LOL… I am so proud of him for not jumping on that wagon though..
